Hey, I am John.

I am a husband and a father of five, living in Mississippi and working from home. I write about faith the way I talk about it at the kitchen table: plain, direct, and not scared of a hard topic.

This blog is the long version of what I post on Facebook. The page gets the short hook. Here is where I can actually finish the thought, work through the Scripture, and tell the whole story.

I also write about family life and practical stuff: money, the garden, work around the house and the homestead. When I mention a book or a product, it is one I use or one I made. Some of those links are affiliate links, and I will always tell you so.
